Making Christmas Memories

The children are good sports when it comes to taking endless pictures!
(Christmas Eve)

Playing 'Dress-Up'

Someone, please send Reese some real 'dress-up' play clothes for Christmas! She is forced to wear a winter hat and 'glove' as a subsitute for a princess tiara and ballgown.

That's better... Thank you, Maggie! (Reese's cousin, in Germany!)

Christmas Cookies...(Belated Christmas Moments)

The art of baking and decorating butter cookies is a new found tradition at our house, this year is no exception.

Rather than using the traditional red and green sugar sprinkles, Reese found 'decorations' of her own. (Don't worry...she ate it before putting it on the cookie!) Okay, she didn't really find anything, nor did she put 'it' in her mouth, but I thought this would be a good caption!

There was some confusion as to 'what and where' the icing was to be placed...
This particular cookie is as sweet as she can be!

A Tribute to my Mother

Prologue: My mom, has for years, hand stitched Bucella stockings for her entire family. By 'entire family' I mean, her immediate children, their spouses, and their children (her grandchildren). An individual stocking takes mulitple months to complete- I, therefore, assumed Charlie's stocking would have to wait until next Christmas. After all, the rate at which I produce children, it's impossible to keep up! Although I created a space at the mantel for what 'could be,' my mom truely surprised me with what is considered to be the most anticipate Christmas gift of all-time!
A candid shot of my surprise!
A proud mommy...

The masterpiece!

The masterpiece gallery
From left to right: my stocking from 1977 (rudolph), Ben's stocking of Santa watching football- complete with a bowl of potato chips (my personal favorite stocking), Charlie's sport themed Santa, Harrison's stocking of Santa riding a bucking reindeer, and Reese's stocking of Santa at the "North Pole" with a reindeer.

My mom has completed 15 stockings and 2 more are in the works for my brother's wife and their 8 month old son.
Thanks MOM! I love you!
